Who I am

I am a clinical psychologist, licensed in both New York (NY 013960) and California (CA 20748).  I have been conducting individual and couples therapy sessions for more than 20 years.

Education

I graduated Magna Cum Laude and with Honors distinction from the University of Pennsylvania, where I was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.  I earned my M.A. and Ph.D. from Hahnemann University.  I then completed a postdoctoral internship at the Manhattan VA and Bellevue Hospitals.

Experience

After completing my Ph.D., I was awarded a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at NY Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell University’s Payne Whitney Clinic, where I received specialized training in CBT at the Cornell Cognitive Therapy Clinic.  In the years that followed, I was an Assistant Professor on the faculty of Weill Cornell and worked as the Associate Director of the Clinic.

In 2005, I relocated to Santa Monica, CA, where I treated clients in private practice.  During this time, I served on the voluntary faculty of UCLA.

In 2012 I returned to the East Coast.  I currently conduct therapy sessions with NY and CA clients over phone, Skype, and Facetime.

Personal

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons, hiking, cooking healthy organic food, and traveling.
