Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider. That means payment is due in full at the end of each session and I will provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance on your own. These receipts will only be provided upon request, so please be sure to let me know in advance to make sure I have one ready for you.
What are your rates?
Please contact me for my standard 50-minute session rate.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Checks & Credit Cards (American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover) are all accepted. Payment is due at the end of each session.
What is your cancellation policy?
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Exceptions will be made in cases of unforeseen illness or emergency. If you do cancel a session within the 24-hour window or do not show up for the session, you will be responsible for paying your fee in full. Canceling within 24-hours prevents me from offering your time slot to someone else who might need it.
Will what we discuss remain confidential?
Yes, what you and I discuss remains between the two of us. The only two exceptions to this rule are if I suspect that you are in danger of harming yourself or another person, or I learn of past or present abuse of children, adults, or elders. I will provide you with a written copy of my confidential disclosure agreement at the start of treatment. This is called "Informed Consent". However, sometimes you may want me to share information or give an update to someone on your healthcare team (your physician, psychiatrist, dietician, etc), but by law your therapist cannot release this information without obtaining your written permission.
