What I Do
I have had the great pleasure of successfully helping many individuals and couples alleviate and prevent suffering using both Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). CBT and ACT are rooted in the “here and now.” They are goal-directed approaches, are collaborative between client and therapist, and are widely regarded as effective and efficient forms of psychotherapy. While CBT focuses largely on challenging dysfunctional ways of thinking, ACT uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies to create a richer, more meaningful life.
In my practice, I assist individuals and couples who seek help in overcoming anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship problems. In my work over the past 20 years, I have seen that anxiety and mood disorders are very treatable. People often experience significant relief from symptoms and meaningful improvements in the quality of their lives.
