Welcome to my practice

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience treating adolescents and adults using cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).  I help people learn cutting edge tools to manage their stress, reduce their anxiety, and live happier, more connected lives.

I have served on the faculties of NY Presbyterian/Weill Cornell and UCLA and have treated hundreds of clients face-to-face.  I also have extensive experience in conducting therapy sessions remotely, via phone, Skype, and FaceTime.  These newer modalities are extremely effective.  In my current model, the initial session is an extended two- to three- hour visit, at which time I meet each client in person.  Subsequent sessions are held remotely -- at your convenience.

Over the years I have forged deep and meaningful relationships with clients.  While therapy is often short-term, sometimes clients choose to "delve deeper" into issues after the initial problem has been solved.  Other times people return to therapy for booster sessions during times of change or stress.  My door is always open to my clients, and they realize that I truly care about them as people.
